Haeger & Schmidt Logistics (HSL) from Duisburg is strengthening the shipping fleet for the Container Alliance Niederrhein (CAN) container shipping group, which is operated jointly with the partners European Gateway Services and Contargo Waterway Logistics.<\/h3>\n

To this end, the logistics service provider has concluded a long-term contract with the Dutch shipping company Delfia Inland Shipping. “The use of modern shipping capacity is very important to us in terms of sustainability and environmental awareness,” says Heiko Br\u00fcckner, CEO HSL.<\/p>\n

Since the beginning of February, the inland container vessels have been in operation on the Rhine between the western ports and various inland ports. In detail these are: MS Alfa Grande with a capacity of 398 TEU, MS Alfa Bianco and MS Alfa Menta with 336 TEU each.<\/p>\n

“In view of the rapidly changing inland shipping industry and the increasingly scarce shipping space, we are adapting our strategy to the new circumstances. Our ambition is to invest in securing our capacities with long-term partnerships and thus guarantee sustainable transport security for our customers,” says Stefan H\u00fctten, Chief Development Officer (CDO) at HSL.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

The two inland container ships MS Alfa Grande and MS Alfa Bianco are deployed on the Lower Rhine between Neuss, Duisburg, Emmerich, Antwerp and Rotterdam. MS Alfa Menta will take over the route between Andernach and Antwerp as well as other Middle Rhine and Lower Rhine stops.<\/p>\n

Sjoerd Knipping, founder and managing director of Delfia Inland Shipping, is looking forward to the cooperation: “We are proud to have concluded such a long-term contract for the chartering of three ships. This sets the course for a long-term partnership.” Knipping and H\u00fctten agree that they want to intensify and expand the cooperation.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
